What we collect

When you create a Blare account we collect your email address and a hashed password. As you use the platform we store the content you create (posts, brand assets, product definitions), scheduling preferences, and connected social account metadata (tokens are encrypted at rest).

We also collect standard usage data — page views, feature usage, browser type, and IP address — to improve the product and diagnose issues. We do not sell or share this data with advertisers.

How we use it

  • Operate the service: authenticate you, publish posts on your behalf, generate AI content, and display analytics.
  • Improve the product: understand usage patterns, fix bugs, and prioritize features.
  • Communicate with you: send transactional emails (password resets, publish confirmations) and, occasionally, product updates you can unsubscribe from.

Data storage

Your data is stored on servers operated by Render (for compute) and managed PostgreSQL with encrypted connections. Social account tokens are encrypted at rest. Uploaded images are stored via Cloudinary. AI-generated content is processed through OpenAI's API under their data-use policies — we do not use your content to train third-party models.

Your rights

You can export or delete your data at any time by contacting us. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days (some anonymised analytics may be retained). If you're in the EU, you have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
